Cultural Heritage Recording with Photogrammetry and Laser Scanning Laser

Our laboratory has conducted and contributed to a variety of archaeological projects focused on the accurate geometric documentation of cultural heritage sites and monuments, including the Ancient Theatre of Sparta, the Castle of Aigosthena, and the Acropolis of Athens. We combined standard photogrammetric techniques—both automatic and semi-automatic—with laser scanning to produce detailed vector maps, dense digital surface models, true orthophotos, and fully 3D photorealistic models.
